Wendy Devine

Wendy has 25 years of experience working within the diverse landscape of tertiary education, targeted government training programmes and industry training. She has worked at a regional and national level with alternative education initiatives via government funded programmes allowing the opportunities to work alongside secondary schools, polytechnics and private training establishments and employers.

Wendy is currently working with Engineering Taranaki Consortium (ETC). Wendy sees her role with Taranaki Futures as a natural extension of her role with ETC. She shares the aspirations, values and commitment of Taranaki Futures Trust, advisors and partners.


Belinda Mooney

Belinda comes to Taranaki Futures with a background in research, marketing, product development and strategy.  With a passion for youth, she believes that all young people in Taranaki deserve clear and relevant career information to guide them into reaching their employment potential. Belinda works with the Taranaki community to improve alignment between education and employment. 

You will see Belinda out and about as she builds strong links with employers, secondary schools, tertiary providers and students. 



Melody Te Patu

Māori & Pasifika Trades Training Coordinator

Melody Te Patu has strong whakapapa links to Whanganui and Taranaki. She is a mother of 4 children. Having relocated to New Plymouth for work and love.  Melody has worked in Tertiary Education for 13 years across differing roles as lecturer,student support and and Coordinator for Maori and Pasifika Trades Training. Melody is passionate about education and empowering Maori and Pasifika people and communities. The role of MPTT Coordinator will allow her to support and guide whanau, hapu, iwi and communities to up skill and engage in education, while in a supportive learning environment that can lead to higher education, employment or apprenticeships.

Tracey is a communications and marketing specialist with an interest in career development, specifically those of our school leavers.

Seeing so many young people struggle to find a path between finishing school and settling on a career motivated her to start a Diploma in Career Development, which she is currently completing through NMIT.

Combining her marketing and communication skills with her growing knowledge of careers she helps share Taranaki Futures’ stories.
